Put your ice skates on !!!

Project description

We were contracted to direct the integration of scenographical and technological systems for the Centre de glaces Intact Assurance, which opened its doors in summer 2021. The ice ring’s surface is in line with the most regulated international norms and its size makes it the biggest indoor ice skating rink in America.

Our conception of sonic, video and marking systems allows the center to be the host for various types of events, such as public and professionnal practice of ice sports and high performance competitions. The ice rink can also transform into a dancefloor, thanks to 40 fully integrated motorized projectors and three wide screens. No one would know, because this equipment has been meticulously concealed in the ceiling and blends into the white decor. Tackling a project of such ambitious height was no small feat, but we succeeded nonetheless !

The Quartier des Spectacles welcomes the NFB.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Located in the Îlot Balmoral of the Quartier des Spectacles in downtown Montreal, the new National Film Board headquarters keep shining a light on the 7th art by having a wider. Our team was brought on board to guide the NFB in the development on technic and technological concepts throughout the building. Our mandate was executed in multiple steps, allowing us to use our expertise on different projects. This results in the NFB being host to production, creation and animation studios, as well as exhibition spaces. It is a real joy to be able to have left our mark on this red-striped structure!

North Shore’s most awaited

Project description

Go Multimedia was mandated by the City of Repentigny to design a hybrid performance hall within its Cultural Space. Its three configurations, fixed seats (Italian style), cabaret or standing, allow the holding of popular amplified shows, corporate events with reception tables, musical productions, but also classical music concerts. After having been awaited for several decades in its community, the hall was finally able to open in the spring of 2021. Its design and construction, as well as its acoustic shell, give it a rare acoustic quality, among the most exceptional in the country. We are happy that the result is up to par.

Our implication

Involved from the start of the project, our team provided complete scenographic work, affecting the hall as well as the foyer, dressing rooms and technical spaces. We provided cutting-edge technical assistance to professionals, to the broadcaster and its technical team, and of course to the City of Repentigny. After having designed and specified the lifting and covering system, the acoustic shell and the multimedia systems, we ensured the proper completion of the project and the implementation of our prescriptions, until the opening show.

Two balls in space!

Project description

No, this isn’t the title of a doubtful 80s movie or a new kind of ice cream. Since April 2013, two domes have grown next to the Olympic Stadium. Once inside, you can go to the ends of the universe. You’re skeptical? Go sit comfortably in one of the armchairs perfectly angled to allow you to enjoy this immersive journey. We’ve thought of everything so that you, the viewer, can be impressed. Thanks to 4k and 2k resolutions, you can almost touch the stars. And just like in Star Wars (please pardon the pun!), There are sounds in space. Many sounds. The immersion is complete!

In this beautiful month of July 2015, the Planetarium has finally received the long awaited (since the opening of the place) LEED NC Platinum certification level. Congratulations on a great reward!

Our commitment

Being the type of project we do only once in our lives, we made several international trips to visit various planetariums and soak up their unique niche characteristics both in terms scenography than technological. The planetarium alone allows an accurate reproduction of the starry sky as seen from Earth, and this for both hemispheres. Close coordination was needed with all professionals and entrepreneurs throughout the project to ensure that no part of the universe was forgotten.
