Project Description

For over 50 years, the theater des Deux Rives has made a multidisciplinary viewing venue accessible to the citizens of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. And now, after extensive renovations, the Italian-style venue is ready to face the next 50 years. From the start of the architectural competition, we worked closely with applying architects. With them, we planned each space providing logical staging and practical solutions to ensure that the theater would be effective. We have completely redesigned the seating map. A slope was proposed and the repositioning of chairs was revised so that the viewing angles would be optimal. Behind the scenes, we have prescribed a complete network of scenic walkways and the recast of the stage house with its technical grill.
