Maurice O’Bready Concert Hall | Université de Sherbrooke
Update 2.0

Project Description
Maurice O’Bready hall renovations have several elements that really helped boost the image of this great Township hall for local and international scope productions. Upon opening of the venue in November 2014, the new main PA system is unique in Canada. What better way to turn heads! The artisans of the industry all want to hear it and the answer is super positive. To top it off, the public can also enjoy the new layout of the chairs that we have developed to allow greater comfort. Audiovisual management of the various areas of the cultural center is now modernized thanks to the fact that the communication signals are fully digital and controllable using wireless tablets. On the scenic side, the entire manual lifting system was reviewed. The age of the old system prevented the realisation of some productions which prompted us to configure its complete replacement. We designed the addition of new harrows and added motorized carriers.
Let it be said, the Cultural Center has once again become a must!

Our Commitment
We’ve been working closely with the staff of the Maurice O’Bready hall throughout the project. A comparative In Situ sound system was organized and managed by our team in order to allow the Cultural Center to guide their choices. The development of the 1500 seats in the seating area was coordinated with them and the architect. We’ve been proactive in establishing a fully “future proof” digital multimedia infrastructure that ensures sustainability of their newly renovated room.
