University of Montreal’s Lassonde Pavillon

Multicolored Engineering

Project Description

Accommodating a university population of 700 people, the new center is equipped with research laboratories occupying nearly 75% of its entire space. Our assistance to architects was to provide logical and relevant ergonomic principle groupings in the planning of all training spaces. We are talking about 34 classrooms, 12 auditoriums, 24 laboratories and 12 interactive venues. The logical groupings helped to centralize multimedia services in 12 server rooms. Each venue is fully automated making remote monitoring by the school staff possible. The lighting facilities management system was not to our taste, so we decided to create a controller to ease its use. Finally, why do we say multicolored Engineering for this project? Go check it out!
